Scott and I are super excited because we will both be volunteering at a camp for kids who are grieving. Camp Erin is a 3-day camp experience, free of charge to its participants, and is facilitated by professional staff and trained volunteers of BRIDGES. The camp is for children ages 6-17 who have experienced the death of a loved one. Camp Erin is a high energy, fun camp with grief support and education woven in. Adult “Big Buddy” volunteers offer additional support and companionship for campers. Camp Erin will be held at Camp Seymour, located 22 miles west of Tacoma. All campers will have the option to enjoy varied camp activities. These activities include:
Swimming
Boating
Arts and Crafts
Music
Drama
Evening Campfires
Outdoor Games
Wall Climbing
Archery
Scott and I will both be Big Buddies and we couldn't be more pumped to be involved in such an awesome volunteer experience, although we both plan to bawl our eyes out. If you know of anyone in the Tacoma/Seattle area who could benefit from participating, please let me know.

You guys will be GREAT big buddies. What a wonderful way to spend some of your time. You better post and let us know how it goes.
What a way to give others! You guys will have a great time, I know! Yeah, please let us know how it goes!
I have dealt with many youth because CJ coached so many years, but now as a YW's pres, I feel more responsible.
I studied a little bit of "Enneagram" while I was at college in Japan, and it helps me a lot in what I do...
When??? Can I come??? I already know that you are a fabulous big brother buddy and these kids are seriously going to benefit from the incredible Hinckley duo. What life-changing experience for everyone in attendance. Love it.
Sara and Scott... that sounds like it will be a moving experience. After being witness to how the passing of our own mother took it's toll on our brother Joel, all i can say is God Bless you guys for doing this. Awesome that you two could do this together. All the best and i hope you guys will be able to point these kids in the right direction emotionally and help them see that there can be a brighter tomorrow.
